October 18 was our flying day: from Dubai to Athens. Loonnnnggg day.
There was dense fog in Dubai...
October 19, we looked around, did what we could and stayed out of the way of the rioters.
Most things were closed. The Acropolis Museum was open, however.

I found it hard to walk on these...
While we were having lunch, many, many, many police motorcycles went by --
Found out later, the riot moved to where we were by the Acropolis.
We missed it all.

We met our conference colleagues at a welcome reception at night.
We thought the museum was spectacular, too. So interesting with the glass floors! Glad you didn't mix with the rioters. Mary
